Customer loyalty in Argentina: digital cards, data law and a city-by-city guide

In short: in Argentina 87% of phones run Android (StatCounter, September 2026) and Google Wallet has worked there since June 2023, so a stamp card in Google Wallet reaches almost every customer. Few loyalty apps publish prices in pesos, and management systems like Fudo don't include a points program. If you store customer data, Law 25,326 applies.

Club Card's card, counter app, dashboard and signup are in Spanish only.

This guide is for coffee shops, bakeries, ice cream shops and restaurants in Argentina. It covers the technology, what's on offer, the law and what changes in each city.

Google Wallet in Argentina

Google Wallet has worked in Argentina since June 2023 (La Nación). Besides payments, it stores loyalty cards that the business issues and updates (Google for Developers).

What's on the market

As of October 22, 2026, we found few Argentine options with published prices. Fudo, one of the most widely used restaurant management systems, publishes plans from 22,500 pesos a month, but has no points program: it stores the customer base and allows per-customer discounts on its Avanzado and Pro plans (Fudo, pricing). If you already use Fudo, a separate stamp card complements it. Global options are in the app comparison.

What the law requires

Law 25,326 on the Protection of Personal Data governs how you store and use your customers' data. For a customer club:

  • Explain what you use the data for before the customer signs up.
  • Ask for separate permission to send promotions by WhatsApp or email.
  • Give them a simple way to opt out.

This isn't legal advice; for your case, check with a lawyer.

City guide

Tucumán

This is where Club Card's first customer is: Giorgini Panetteria, with its club at two locations, Centro and Yerba Buena, since September 2, 2026. The rule is one stamp per visit and a free treat at 8 stamps (Giorgini case). With several locations, one QR per shop and a single card that adds up across all of them works best.

Salta

Strong domestic tourism and a local neighborhood clientele. As in other tourist cities, the resident who comes in often gets the most out of the card; for visitors, a shorter card.

Buenos Aires

Lots of competition on every block between specialty coffee shops and bakeries. The card helps the customer choose to come back to yours. With offices nearby, a one-stamp-per-visit rule keeps a big order from filling the card.

Córdoba

A university city: many young customers on Android and frequent visits during the school year. Consider double stamps for January and February, when traffic drops.

What we say about each city is an observation to guide the design, not a measurement.

Stamps, points or discounts

In Argentina, discounts by payment method or by day of the week are common. A discount applies to everyone equally and doesn't reward the customer who comes back. A stamp card, on the other hand, rewards frequency: the customer who comes often reaches the reward sooner.

For a neighborhood bakery or coffee shop, the stamp card is usually the best starting point. The bakeries guide has the details.

Price in pesos and in dollars

Many tools charge in dollars. Club Card costs USD 69 a month; the first 20 coffee shops pay USD 59 for 12 months, with a refund of the month if it doesn't work for them within 30 days. When we confirm your signup we tell you how to pay.

How to launch it at your shop

  1. A short rule: one stamp per visit and a reward your customer already buys.
  2. QR at the register and on the tables.
  3. A set line for the staff: "Want to join the club? You start today with two free stamps."
  4. Welcome stamps: Nunes and Drèze found that a card with a head start gets completed more (Journal of Consumer Research, 2006).
  5. Each month, see who comes back and who stopped coming.

Club Card in Argentina

Club Card is a digital stamp card with your business's brand. The customer scans the QR, joins with Google or email and saves it to Google Wallet; on iPhone it works in the browser; it is not saved to Apple Wallet yet. It includes a CRM with each member's data, setup done by our team and the option to set stamps for reviews on Google Maps and TripAdvisor. It's in Spanish. See how it works or request your signup.
